Dates of Institutes

The institute is a three year program, and each year is termed a "phase." Each year or phase consists of 2 sessions: a fall session and a spring session. Each session is 2.5 days long. Five half-day courses are offered in the fall and spring session. Exams are given for all classes at the end of the class.

Cost Breakdown of Institute

Certification Program (Institute): $200 registration fee for each of the two annual sessions (covers 5 courses, instructional materials, refreshments, and luncheon, but not lodging or other meals, per session).

Winter Educational Conference: $160 registration fee which covers instruction, course materials, refreshments, and luncheon, but not lodging or other meals.

Master Municipal Clerk Academy: $100 registration fee which covers instruction, course materials, and refreshments, but not meals or lodging

Advanced Education Opportunities

A 1.5-day certification program (institute) update is conducted annually in December in Jackson and is open to both institute graduates and non-graduates.
