  1. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Civic Spaces

    July 14, 2022, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

    Zoom Webinar

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Civic Spaces Understanding diversity and learning how to manage its complexity are perhaps among the most critical challenges facing Public Administrators today. The responsibility of preparing future leaders and administrators to effectively serve an increasingly diverse citizenry requires a deep understanding of the needs and demands of the various communities. In this course, municipal clerks will gain a deeper understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within civic spaces. Perspectives on DEI and its implications for policy and practice will be presented that will contribute to both CMC and MMC education. Municipal clerks will also examine pertinent issues about various social identities, cultures, and communities. Municipal clerks will learn to address these issues, highlighting equitable access to resources. Points: 1 CMC Education or 1 MMC Advanced Education Point
