During this hands-on case study involving scenarios from real-life cases, you will be acting as the advisor for your community after a questionable situation arises. Each round you will be given a new set of facts about the case in which you will work in groups to identify how you would address the current situation. The case builds as more facts surface. Are you prepared to manage such situations if they were to happen in your community?

There will be a table top exercise: Multi-Hazard Emergency Planning for Clerks and Treasurers.
Instructor: James Reseburg is the Chief Executive Officer of Emergency Planning Solutions, LLC that provides Emergency Management Solutions for public and private organizations. James is an adjunct faculty member for the Federal Emergency Management Institute.

Spreadsheets are no longer single use, but a tool used in Project Portfolio Management, mailing, statistical analysis, municipal forecasting, generating reports, graphing financials and trends, budgeting, exporting/importing data in and out of software applications and much more. The time saving applications and the ability to manipulate data will trim hours off of a project or obtaining information. Our attendees tell us it is one of the most valuable classes they have taken.
Must have advanced spreadsheet skills. This is not a beginner class.
