UW-Green Bay Academy Course: Budgeting in Hard Times: SMART ways to look for cuts--BADGE Course
Wednesday, February 24, 2021
Sponsored by University of Wisconsin - Green Bay as a part of the Master Academy of Civic and Public Affairs spring series
Budgeting is never an easy task and in hard times it is even a more difficult challenge. Most municipal budgets are already bare bones. Whether you are responsible for the entire budget or your department, you will learn some of the best ways to look for places to adjust and save money or even out of the box revenue generators. This hands-on workshop will provide SMART budgeting methods that may work for your community.
You will have the opportunity to put together a budget with the underlying premise of cutting expenses or adding revenue in small breakouts with your fellow classmates.
Instructor: Gary Olsen, Administrator, Village of Rothchild
