Working with Veterans

IIMC Online Professional Development Program: Working With Veterans

Thursday, March 14, 2024

WORKING WITH VETERANS Businesses and corporations can benefit from hiring Veterans. Military personnel are often cross-trained in various skills and have experience in wide-ranging tasks and accountabilities. Several Veterans have been trained and understand what it means to put in a hard day's work. They have also come to appreciate the challenges and satisfaction of a job well done. Much of this experience can translate to their participation in the workforce making the Veteran an asset on the job. The course will look at who is the veteran, debunking the stereotypes that are attached to hiring a veteran, and learning what a veteran can bring to an employer. Points: 1 CMC or 1 MMC Advanced Education Point EPP First Cohort members are invited to participate to earn 2 hours toward EPP Education with a completed learning assessment.
