Online Professional Development Program: HR Essentials for the Municipal Clerk
Friday, February 17, 2023
This course will provide Municipal Clerks with a foundation in human resource practices and processes. We will begin with recruitment, interviewing, and making the final candidate selection. This process has become much more involved given our current talent climate. We will also touch on what’s involved with compliance in HR, including EEOC, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and others. Compensation and benefits will be briefly discussed along with the many impacts of issues such as remote and hybrid workplaces and the current talent shortage. Employee learning and development have become important factors for prospective employees as they place greater emphasis on their career development. We will discuss the many modalities and learning opportunities that have gained popularity in recent months. This course will conclude with a discussion about the importance of creating a talent strategy that encompasses all aspects of HR. *PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PRINT YOUR RECEIPT FOR THIS COURSE!*
