NEMCI&A Webinar: Advanced Decision Making Techniques

The ability to make effective and timely decisions is an essential skill for successful clerks. Mastery of this skill will improve your ability to serve your city, town or village in your day-to-day tasks and projects. You will hone your decision-making skills by following a methodology based on tested actions and sound organizational approaches. Topics include understanding and evaluating the decision to be made and the potential outcomes, following a consistent, logical process for decision making, and structuring your approach. Other topics include evaluating options against set criteria, avoiding typical decision-making traps, following-up on past decisions to review success and improve future decision making. This course will help you understand the structure of decision-making, define problems, evaluate options and make the best choice possible.
1 CMC Education or 1 MMC Advanced Education point granted per 2 hours with a passing grade on the learning assessment. After completing the course, you will receive a link to the assessment. With a passing score, you will automatically receive a certificate. There are unlimited retakes on the assessment.
Webinar Pricing & Guidelines
Each webinar will require separate registration. First come, first served. We typical get 30-40 clerks per session. Registration continues until the day before the webinar (no same day registration). Registration closes as soon as webinar reaches maximum capacity. Max = 50
Each webinar is $60.00 USD. Payment will be made using PayPal. We will be accepting online credit card registrations only – checks will be accepted, only in certain situations. Registrations are also non-transferable.
A link to install Zoom on your computer will be included in your registration confirmation. Prior to beginning your webinar, Zoom will automatically download onto your laptop/desktop or whatever device you will be using. (laptop/desktop will provide a better user experience), if you dont already have Zoom on your device.
Webinars will be 2 hours each running from 1:00pm-3:00pm EST (10:00am-12:00pm PST) and will earn 1 CMC Education or 1 MMC Advanced Education point upon completion of a require learning assessment. Certificates of completion will be issued online to those who complete the learning assessment successfully (70% or better). Unlimited re-takes on the assessments
