Minneapolis shares the “Twin Cities” moniker with Minnesota’s capital city, St. Paul and is renowned as the perfect blend of natural beauty and urban sophistication. Home of a chain of lakes, the mighty Mississippi, and 200 miles of walking and biking within the city limits, steps from a vibrant arts and music scene, shopping, and museums.
The 77th IIMC Annual Conference will take place in the Loring Park neighborhood of Minneapolis. Loring Park is one of the largest parks in the city and location of the Walker Art Center. Since 1940, the Walker Art Center has been a Minneapolis institution and one of the most visited modern and contemporary art museums in the country. The interdisciplinary exhibits are enriched by a roof-top terrace--with mini golf in the summer, plazas, and gardens. Across the street, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is the largest urban sculpture park in the world, featuring some 40 works of contemporary art, including the city’s iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry that is open year-round and free to visit.
