• Study Abroad General Information

The purpose of the program is to provide a unique educational and cultural experience for IIMC members with an evaluation of practical and academic studies. While the emphasis of this program is on education, the itinerary attempts to provide a good balance of touring the host country while interacting with the local government officials and attending educational sessions. 

2015 Study Abroad Program Features Historic New England

If you’ve not made plans to participate in this wonderful program, start now! The 2015 IIMC Study Abroad Program begins on May 12 in Boston, MA and concludes on May 17 in Hartford, CT, site of the 2015 IIMC Annual Conference. In between those dates, you’ll visit and attend education sessions in and around Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

This program is sure to attract IIMC members from around the world and promises to be educational, stimulating and a unique experience.   Registration will be available in the fall 2014.


Past Study Programs

2013 Study Abroad
Our 2013 Study Abroad Program took place in Scotland with 31 participants. The International Relations Committee ~ International Relations Committee’s Global Network blog is still up and you can find more great photos in the Photo Gallery.  This program was approved for 11 CMC Education points or 11 MMC Advanced Education points.

2011 Study Abroad
The September 2011 trip to South Africa was a fascinating educational study blending South Africa’s unique heritage and topography with the IMASA annual conference. With 28 IIMC members participating it was IIMC’s most highly attended study abroad program to date. Members were able follow along on IIMC’s Facebook page for updates and blogs from participants. 2011 Study Abroad Itinerary.   The 2011 Study Abroad Program was approved the for 7.75 CMC Education points or 7.75 MMC Advanced Education points.

2009 Study Abroad
The 2009 Study Abroad Program to Wales with 14 participants. The program was approved for 4 CMC Education points or 4 MMC A Education points. - A Reflection Is an article written by Torchie Corey, a 2009 Study Abroad participant.

2007 Study Abroad
Our first 2007 Study Abroad Program to England had 19 participants.
