Course Review is the process by which IIMC approves association courses for certification points, beforehand. IIMC will review a course in order to determine if the course is applicable to its certification programs, as well as the level of the course (CMC or MMC).
Depending on the the type of course (Region Meeting, State/Provincial/National Association or other organization offering), Course Review can help to award the course points.
Planning an IIMC Region Meeting or State/National/ Provincial Association education program? Consider applying for a State Association Grant or a Region Stipend to assist with the financial aspect of planning. Find more information by visiting the Scholarship and Grant page.
The following documents will assist state associations and individuals in requesting review for courses: Assessments
IIMC Education Guidelines require that course participants complete an assessment at the end of an education program. The State Association or Instructor will select and design an outcomes assessment tool that assesses the knowledge/experience acquired by the participants taking the course.
An Assessment can be a quiz, short answer questions, test, essay and/or similar tools. The following example assessments may assist you in creating an assessment for your program.
Assessments are to be completed after the program and are not to be completed during
class time. Points and/or hours are not awarded for assessment completion.
The Assessment tool is to be reviewed by the State Association or Instructor before a certificate of completion can be issued. In order to avoid confusion, please keep the Assessment Tool separate from any other program materials.
