Location of Instruction
By correspondence through AMCTO, plus evening classroom and on-line instruction through various community colleges across Ontario.
Each of the four units to be completed requires 30 hours of instruction for a total of 120 hours

Courses usually begin in September and January of each year.

Cost Breakdown of Institute
Correspondence course/on-line tuition per unit, including AMCTO binder costs: $323.30
Per unit cost through colleges for evening classroom instruction varies-$100 - $150.  Binder fee additional: $65-$75

advanced program
Two advanced programs

  • Municipal Accounting and Finance Program offered by both correspondence, through AMCTO, and in-class through community colleges.
  • Municipal Law Program offered in-class through community colleges and electronically.

Program Scheduling
Time to graduate: normally 2 years by correspondence or one  through the college semester system
Entry Level: recommend taking units in sequence
Most community colleges grant regular college credits for each of the units taken.
