2010 IIMC CANDIDATES
Candidates for Vice President

  Brenda M. Cirtin, MMC
City Clerk, City of Springfield, Missouri

Having been a member of the Clerk’s profession for over twenty   years, I realize there have been two constants in my career – my State   Association and IIMC. These two entities worked together to ensure   that I had the opportunity to become an educated, highly-qualified   professional. It is my desire to give back something to an organization   that has given so much to me, and offered me invaluable opportunities   through education and other career enhancement venues.

To keep this brief, I will address only my involvement with IIMC.

  • Attended 14 of the last 15 conferences
  • Served on the Program Review and Certification Committee
  • Attained the designation of Master Municipal Clerk in 2005
  • Served on the Board of Directors (2005-2008)
  • Board liaison to Conference Policy Committee
  • Served as Vice Chair & Chair of Election Committee
  • Charter Athenian Fellow (2007)
  • Quill Award (2009)

Education is a key component of IIMC, and by working with our State Associations, it provides the membership the  necessary tools to become professionals in government. IIMC is committed to being ‘member driven’. I’d be honored to work for the members to ensure that all Clerks have the same opportunities I’ve had.
